Ferocactus Peninsulae 'Townsend Barrel Cactus'

A really nice Ferocactus with imposing hooked spines and a slightly glaucous (grey/blue) colouring.

Yellow to deep orange flowers in late summer.

Synonym: Ferocactus Townsendianus

Winter dormant.

Should start to bloom once the stem reaches 200-250mm dia.

Will benefit from a high potassium NPK fertiliser in summer (but not the cooler months when fertiliser can actually be detrimental to the plant).

(200mm shown in black pot images)
