GENERAL INFORMATION

All prices shown include GST.

If you have something specific you’re after and struggling to find, please do not hesitate to contact us as we may have it in small numbers or can possibly find it for you, if need be.

  

SHIPPING BY POST

  • Flat rate shipping - $20 per order*
  • Plants are shipped Australia Post, Express Delivery only.

  • We ship within Queensland and to NSW, VIC, ACT & SA.
  • We do not ship to WA, TAS & NT due to quarantine restrictions.
  • Express Post orders of succulents are shipped bare and dry rooted. 
  • We will despatch your order as soon as practicable after it is placed, having allowed time for the plant to dry (if a succulent) so as to avoid any potential for rot in transit.
  • If an order is placed close to a weekend, we may elect to wait until the monday before delivering if we think there is a risk it would otherwise be held over the weekend in transit prior to delivery.

 

*$20 flat rate Express Post shipping:

This rate covers orders that can physically fit into shipping cartons up to a maximum size of what Australia Post describe as an 'Extra-large Box'.

This rate is also weight limited to a maximum of 5kg.

HOW MANY PLANTS DOES AN EXTRA-LARGE BOX HOLD?

The following table shows how many plants of different types will fit in an Extra-Large Box and should be considered INDICATIVE ONLY. 

For example, an Extra-Large Box will typically hold seven to eight 130/140mm plants

Nb. This table should be considered indicative only.

For instance, with many plants (such as most Agave) the leaves cannot be folded to maximise room within the box.

But with Agave Geminiflora, as an example, the leaves can be nicely folded up, meaning that significantly more can generally be fitted within the box.

The checkout will take this into account.

Nb. If you have an order that exceeds the extra-large box weight and/or dimensions the checkout will roll over the shipping cost automatically to a second box rate.

LOCAL DELIVERY

Local delivery is currently available for Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.

Flat rate delivery per order: $20.00

Local delivery is available for the following Queensland post codes:

4000, 4005-4007, 4009-4014, 4017-4022, 4030-4179, 4205-4215, 4217-4228, 4270-4272, 4280, 4285, 4300-4305, 4500-4506, 4508-4510.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR LOCAL DELIVERY

  • Local delivery is to residential addresses.
  • We would prefer someone is home to receive the order. 
  • If no one is home when delivery takes place, we cannot immediately contact you by phone and there are no specific instructions as to where to place the delivery we will leave the order in the most suitable location and text you this to your mobile number.
  • Be aware we would rather not do this. We do not like simply leaving plants 'at the front door' and making the customer responsible for them from that point on. We would much rather be sure your little 'babies' are safely in your hands!
  • As standard all plants are delivered potted.
  • For succulents & cacti (only) bare rooted plants are options under Local Delivery. Be sure to specify if you want this under instructions for delivery section of the checkout. Refer 'Pot or Not' for information.
  • Multiple orders placed during the same week can be delivered under the one local delivery charge. Its easier to do this if you contact us direct before you place a second order, rather than us refund you a delivery fee/s.

INTERNATIONAL SALES

We have international clients and are well versed in overseas sales.

This service is best used where the value of the specific plants is high and/or where plants are being sourced in volume.

This is because of the Australian Governments regulations on plant exports and the inherent costs involved in obtaining clearances and phytosanitary certificates.

This makes it impractical for orders of just a few plants.

Where we don't have the plants ourselves we are able, through our extensive wholesale contacts, able to procure an extensive range of quality plants for export.

It’s always a good idea to double check your personal details prior to finalising your purchase as getting this wrong is a pretty certain way for non-delivery to occur!

 

INSURANCE FOR AUSTRALIA POST ORDERS

You automatically have insurance cover with Australia Post for loss or damage of your order to the value of $100 at no extra cost.

If your order exceeds $100 in value you can, if you wish, take out extra cover.

Australia Post charge $2.50 for each subsequent $100 of cover.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by direct deposit, credit card, Afterpay and Paypal 

 

TRACKING

Australia Post tracking numbers for orders are automatically provided to customers with the email confirmation of your order

 

 


 

OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG!

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT

Occasionally damage outside our control can occur to your order caused by either delays or mishandling during shipping.

If this occurs from an Express Post delivery a claim is required to be submitted direct to Australia Post.

 

ON RECEIPT OF YOUR GOODS

We want only the best outcome for our customers.

We want you to enjoy your purchasing experience with us and be happy with the plants we supply.

Sometimes, however, things go wrong and if there is ever an issue with your order please contact us by email within 24hrs of receipt of goods so we can work it out with you.

Be sure to include photo's of your plants.

REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS

If your online Express Post order is in any way not to your satisfaction or expectation please reach out to us straight away (by email with a daytime contact number, photo’s of the plant/s and within 24hrs) so we can address any issues you might have directly with you.

If your Local Delivery order of potted plants is in any way not to your satisfaction or expectation then, if you are home for the delivery, let us know at that point and we can work out a solution immediately, and offer either a refund or replacement with another plant/s.

In the case of replacement, any replacement plant/s will be delivered at no charge on the next available delivery day or other time by mutual agreement.

Acceptance of a delivery of a potted plant/s in person (by the person who placed the order) is deemed to be acceptance that the plant/s are of acceptable quality and meet the expectations of the buyer.

If you are not home when your potted plants are delivered by Local Delivery or your plants are bare rooted (boxed) and Local Delivery and they are not to your satisfaction or expectation treat the order as if it was an Express Post order (see above).

 

You are entitled to a refund under Australian law if the plants we supplied were not as promised or described:

It is not unusual for plants to have a number of variations in common names.

    If there is any doubt about the actual plant being purchased it is the buyer’s responsibility to raise this with us before placing the order.

    Refund or replacement where the buyer’s expectation of a plant was something different from that shown in the listings/images and the buyer did not raise this with us prior to purchase is solely at the discretion of Scyppan Green.

     

    We work hard to ensure the plant you receive is as close as possible to those represented in the website images of that particular plant and pot size and regularly update our photo images to reflect this.

    However, seasonal and growing condition variations can affect plant colour, shape and size and may result in a delivered plant that differs slightly from the photo image.

    We will gladly refund or replace where it can be shown by the buyer there was an unreasonable difference between expectation and the plant actually received.

     

    We are unable to refund or replace based on purely a change of mind. Please feel free to contact us prior to ordering if you are unsure in any way about the suitability of your intended purchase for your requirements.
